Transparent PNG people cut-outs for elevations and sections

A cut-out figure needs the right pose, the right angle and a clean edge. You can make all three in the browser, and export as a transparent PNG.

Posable 3D scale figures in many poses, views and render styles from Scale Figure Studio

Why use your own cut-outs

Stock cut-out libraries are limited. The pose you need is rarely there, the clothing is the wrong season, and the angle never matches your drawing. Making your own means every figure fits the view.

Match the view to the drawing

The studio has front, side, back, three-quarter and isometric views, and you can switch between perspective and orthographic projection. For an elevation or section, use an orthographic front or side view so the figure is flat on, like the drawing. For a perspective render, use a three-quarter view.

Export a clean cut-out

  1. Pick a pose and, if you like, randomise the outfit, hair and skin tone.
  2. Choose Flat colour or Silhouette for drawings, or Shaded for renders.
  3. Pick a scale. The PNG is cropped tightly around the figure, with a transparent background.
  4. Click Transparent PNG cut-out.

Build a whole sheet at once

The Character sheet option exports a grid of different figures in one image. You can mix everyday, sitting and sports poses, and choose random rotations in isometric view. It is a fast way to build a library of people for a project.
